Two hairy legs attached to George Bone
Were suddenly granted a life of their own.

They christened each other there and then
The left one Fred, the right one Ben.

Fred is under a considerable strain…
Corns and bunions cause him pain.

Ben on the other hand will admit,
That at sixty he’s reasonably fit.

But he’s tied to Fred like a Siamese twin
If Fred goes down, his problems begin
.
Both white and hairy: shoes size eleven…
They’ve carried George since forty- seven
.
But now he’s 70 lbs. over weight,
It’s time to limit what he ate.
.
They had to get George fit
To that they would commit
.
So George on a diet went
This without his consent
.
Of course George rebelled
But each time was propelled
.
To a place of solitude…
Far from his beloved food.
.
In the end he gave in…
He knew he couldn’t win.
.
Being forced to join the team…
Was the only way it would seem.
.
From then on, George was screwed…
His legs kept him away from food
.
Allowing him 1200 calories a day
Anymore, and he’s transported away.
.
A Chiropodist put Fred right…
Now walking is a sheer delight.
.
He’s hiking ten miles a day
Another chore George has to obey.
.
He’s fitter now and looking trim
People look admiringly at him.
.
He’s now engaged to a beautiful girl,
Who has lovely legs: Maggie and Pearl.
.
Fred and Ben will meet them soon…
When they attend the honeymoon.
